Spring Semester 2011: Week 1 - PowerShell

Welcome back to SQL University! For those of you joining for first time, thank you and welcome! Today starts the new Spring semester and we're kicking off this week with PowerShell week brought to you by Aaron Nelson. Today's lesson is PowerShell Week at SQL University: Part 4, a continuation of last semester's lessons. If you missed his lessons from last semester you can find them here. Remember in addition to each professor's lessons we have Tom LaRock as SQLU's official DBA coach offering additional homework assignments at his blog. You can check out all of his lessons at his blog here. If you miss any of their postings, don't worry. About the Professor

Aaron NelsonAaron Nelson ( blog| twitter) is a Senior SQL Server Architect with over 10 years of experience in Architecture, Business Intelligence, Development, and Performance Tuning of SQL Server. He has experience managing enterprise wide data needs in both transactional and data warehouse environments.  Aaron holds certifications for MCITP: Business Intelligence Developer, Database Administrator, Database Developer; as well as MCTS: Windows Server Virtualization, Configuration (meaning Hyper-V).
Aaron helps run the AppDevand PowerShellVirtual Chapters of PASS, and volunteers for the local PASS Chapter AtlantaMDF.  He also co-runs the Atlanta PowerShellUser Group, and helps organize SQL Saturdayevents in Atlanta.
